People all over the world listen to Hip Hop music. Whether they are working out, driving, or dancing at a party, Hip Hop music is all around us. It all started in the early 70’s when DJ Kool Herc immigrated from Jamacia, where rapping was a form of toasting and celebrating. This led to the golden age of Hip Hop in the 80’s. Run-DMC dominated the rap game along with The Beastie Boys and Erik B and Rakim. Run-DMC religiously wore Adidas, they wrote songs about the brand and made shoes with them. This was the birth of Hip Hop fashion. This all led to Hip Hop artists making shoes with Nike and Kanye notoriously making his infamous Yeezys. This is what has led to making Hip Hop artists some of the most influential fashion designers in the world.
